Cougar summon

Like mephi said cougar is beefed up. Because of this it pulls agro real fast. The issue is that the cougar cannot sustain the damage dealt by certain bosses with pots and mage heals.

Now I’m not saying it should be easy and just sit back and heal cougar with no stress but at least have a fighting chance. That’s why for KV for instance I’ll go to the ants because range and can tank him. It would just be nice to use the best summon available since you lvled to 72 to use cougar. Maybe it’s not possible but hopefully it’s looked at and maybe something can be done. Worst case I just switch back to INT with a couple less summons

Yea I can understand why it can’t tank the magic damage.

The big issue I have with the idea of Cougar (haven’t respecced into it yet) is no interaction with gear makes it a boring build. No items to chase, no fun itemization. You don’t even need to wear cha gear. It just sits in inventory.

Maybe Cougar needs something where if you do wear cha gear, you give it a bunch of +MR.

Could even be new items that help buff summons like runes do. Make Cougar less buffed by default but repurpose some of the inventory only cha items to buff it up, esp if you wear them. Dead items like robe of laia, staff of red crystal, etc could be repurposed to summoner gear with special bonuses.

Fixing Bosses repeating spells within a second is the better goal

I do like these ideas. Probably easier to just add talent tree instead of creating a whole new set of cha/summon gear. Especially since no one really goes full cha mage. I’d be down for it though!

Why don’t you guys test it out with Mephi. Ask Mephi to spawn bosses and you use cougar to challenge it.

I oppose the idea of altering boss’s attack pattern. Sounds like Mephi wants to add a “few seconds delay” in between magic attacks which theoretically make boss hunt easier. Again, this makes the game easier.

some of them do like 2-3 casts within 1 second though which is not intended

but good idea to test all bosses with ppll

The bosses are already very easy to hunt due to high dmg output from our gears

If the format is a boss to spam magic attack then dragons needs this same format
