Forbidden Items Guide
Follow these steps to convert Ancient gear into Forbidden gear. You need a +0 Ancient item, a Forbidden Scroll, and 10,000,000 adena. The Defector handles the exchange.
Requirements
- +0 Ancient item (Armor or weapon)
- 1x Forbidden Scroll
- 10,000,000 adena
- Defector NPC enabled
Results
- Forbidden armors and weapons from your +0 Ancient gear
- Original Ancient item consumed in the trade
Step 1: Gather materials
Farm or buy the Forbidden Scroll and make sure your Ancient item is +0. Set aside 10,000,000 adena.

Step 2: Find the Defector
Visit the Defector NPC (e.g., 32738 / 32799 on map 270) when the feature toggle is on.

Step 3: Choose your exchange
Select the matching Forbidden item option (sword, bowgun, leather armor, robe, plate, or scale mail).

Step 4: Confirm and receive
The Defector consumes the +0 Ancient item, 1 Forbidden Scroll, and 10,000,000 adena, then gives you the Forbidden version.
