Future-proofing Edoryu of Ronde to keep it competitive.

Why not just add ronde to a few more bosses, then these degenerates can just blow them to make them better 🤷♂️ no stat changes needed

ronde (and baranka) were both touted as "the" pre-fid weapons. the fact that they were touted as such (discord.com/channels/1427113623687401537/1454948310065483…) and their rarity reflecting that should IMO be respected.
they should stay in the category of "if you're lucky enough to get one of these end game weapons from the only boss they drop from, you should be confident in knowing that you have something special that places you in a comfortable position in terms of competitiveness until you obtain a fid".
to just throw it on multiple bosses as a fix just cheapens the entire lore behind it. if people want to force make a competitive weapon by blowing weps, the kedo/kclaw is there and ronde shouldn't assume the same fate and be relegated to "kedo plus" status

I don’t feel bad towards ronde, but this is same thing as any private server, people get some obscure thing, think it should have high value, are underwhelmed by its performance, want it to be buffed
The melee weapons on this server are already super buffed with tons of hit and damage, I don’t know if that’s intended to compensate for some other problem in the code or whatever
The beautiful thing about lineage is that you can blow shit, so just let it be like everything else, keep blowing different weapons until it’s better than other weapons

no ones "thinking it should have high value" a gm explicitly stated it is a high value item by stating its one of your two best options before acquiring the actual end game weapon (fid).

well aware and it was a large part of the discovery/discussion when discussing uncanny dodge being broken.
Maybe nerf every other edo or claw that isn’t FID to make ronde feel more powerful?
Systemically nerfing the weapon damage of a class who's only real "advantage" (if you can even call it that) is damage throughput is to put it bluntly nonsensical.
It's literally one of (if not the main) things the identity of the class revolves around and if you start nerfing it's ability to do damage by nerfing the one thing that powers it's damage output (weapons) then you've essentially created a really bad version of a fire elf that has half the swing speed rate, none of the utility, zero agency, softer AC, with no ability to pivot into a different role (a fire elf can always go bow and have multiple paths/playstyles). Meanwhile, a DE is... a DE and I don't think we'll be seeing a full time Jin Gauntlet DE anytime in the near future or ever.
Going back to damage: DE damage isn't overpowered. It's meant to be a support class that's allowed to showcase it's one strength by being empowered/enabled by other classes to contribute in PvP (knight stun, root, ebind, anything that allows it to connect). For any player to experience the receiving end of DE damage, they have to do a lot of things wrong and a DE player has to be in the right place at the right time.
The DE's advocating for this are just asking for our weapon progression ladder to be revised accordingly and looked at the same way cold weapons were looked at for other classes relative to the true endgame option(fid). The answer isn't a new weapon that completely undermines and negates what we either got extremely lucky by having drop or saving for. The answer is to (hopefully) boost it and it's claw counterpart to a level that keeps it relevant (especially as more resist gear gets introduced into the game which further neuters it (whether this was planned for or not im unsure and GMs haven't commented on that topic in particular AFAIK).

To be honest, it shouldn't be up to me to have to remake a thread because a section goes unmoderated and then convince contributors to come back and waste their time reposting their ideas/opinions again.
If they have no intention of tackling this issue then just make it known and close the thread, if they require more data points or opinions from people then ask that so we can give whatever info we're able to give, if they've seen everything they need to see and just need to put it up to a staff vote then say that and lock it. The thread is approaching 100+ posts with no decision made and one comment about bringing it up at a staff meeting at hooters which I can't tell if its sarcastic or not and is (I think) one of the longest threads in this section ever atp...
As far as people being weird, I've already asked for the mod team to step in multiple times and clean up/delete posts which have no business being in here 🤷♂️
I think the actual problem is you’re offer a bias and even others playing DE see the bias. You’re trying really hard for personal reasons instead of just realizing this is a dead topic and to move on.
I offer data points that prove that this specific class' "A-Tier" weapon doesn't scale/doesn't match other classes "A-Tier" weapons when compared to their "S-Tier" and "B-Tier" counterparts.
Other players have confirmed this, data has been presented etc.
There is no bias here, I don't need this weapon to be good I have a better weapon already. Doesn't change the fact that there's a problem and it's been brought up for discussion.
