I dont really know who paid that for 400~500m I'm just saying that boss event dropped so many rare items and now rune is more expensive than cb or destroy, that's what they are trying to make market broke

There's no answer on price but we gotta think what's really rare or not, it's really hard to tell, but I think we are still too new to server to have runes now

If no one pays for it then it’s not breaking it. It’s all in what someone finds value in buying. If it’s a rune you really want than it has value. The people selling just don’t want to sell it to you for cheap.

Runes has made an overall positive impact then negative. There’s not any that are game breaking and no rune replaces existing gear. It’s all add-on content to farm for.

I’ll compile another couple polls and see what the server as a whole thinks of runes. Runes is Mephis baby. I like them a lot and feel they bring a lot to the server. They originally existed through hardins quest and could get things like 3sp 3range damage. I think what Mephi did for runes was huge and opened them up to way more than what this version of lineage ever had.

Coming from a ex-NC staff myself, there were reasons the game developer (NC) introduced new items/classes/bosses/maps the way they did in different timelines, according to server age, populations, players levels, class balance etc.

throwing majority of the late game stuffs into the server within the first 6months will not help the server grow for long. This is a mmorpg, not strategy, not moba where you can just login and play couple games then log off and not worry to think about tomorrow. There needs to be a planning for how the server should be progressed.

I've shared this same comment 3 weeks after i started here but was told i was too fresh to comment anything about the server o.o

"Oh no the boss event dropped to many items". puhhlease 🙄. I have played on plenty of private servers that were ruined over drop/boss events and let me tell you, the boss event we just had here no where near scratches the surface of ruining a server. Honestly, if your running out of things to do, maybe your just playing way more time the every one else and should slow down some. Yeah sure old lineage is a slow grind game that takes a long time, but most players don't want that slow grind anymore or just don't have time for it. If you've run outta things to do, then go play a different game for a while and come back at a later time when there are more things to do.

Also, if anyone is saying they are running out of things to do and think the boss event had a negative effect on the server because of the high drop rate, then why don't you play on classic mode? That would solve the issue you have. 🤷

Your correct I was the target audience for the last event, I started the server like a week before the event started. The event strongly felt targeted to helping players who hadn't done many bosses or were new, and I was both. Nothing wrong with that 👍

Yeah, if I were new players like you and wouldn’t mind a quick boost then I would be happy with the events. But what you dont see the problem is that if this continues to be the norm, then in a few months this server will run out of contents because all existing grinders won’t be interested in hunting and fighting for bosses anymore.

The title says it all “for server…”, not for individual players who want to benefit themselves

You get lv8 karma earrings and ammy in one week. That is a very quick process compared to hard grinder trying to get it in 6 months. All the hard works are a laughable joke

without having frag/bloods in event , would there be so many ppl with lv8 karma earring/necks? i know myself i wouldnot , the amount of farming needed to get that many frags is alot of time consuming .

for the runes , i wouldnot mind them beeing 'bind' but on Webaccount , so if i get a knight 1 i could use on alt knight . but if they were bind , acquiring them should be made easier (espectly in toi hardmode from killing monsters) it should be a reason to go higher tier farming when exp/dmg/efficiency is bad.. in wow , you can trade items with ppl that were in the group/nearbu when they drop , that would be a reason to group up and do tier 9 with your pals.).

but ya , the event fomo did alot of damage , i can see it . all those ppl who forced themself to farm boss , just incase they could get that cold item or legend rune that would allow them to go up in the gear ranking .

If I had to read between the lines, I'd say the boss event is making people nervous that it's just the tip of the iceberg. A certain level of trust has eroded that the gms understand the economics at play.

But complaining about new item pricing compared to existing item pricing also demonstrates a lack of economics. Runes are new, the market will figure out pricing.

let's do the math:

• 6250 frags to make lvl8 karma earrings/ammy.
• let say you are on a lucky day everyday to get 100 frags a day, would need 62.5 days to make 1 earring/ammy.
• buying frags on the low side would need 187m adena, how fast can ppl make 187m adena?
• the event was like 10days? there have been at least 20+ lvl8 earrings/ammy made due to the event.

then make it +6 with acc scrolls

• what's the average # of scrolls needed to make +6? 50-80pcs?

how many frags and acc scrolls were dropped during that particular event?

Cold Chainsword - i started here from mid feb and have never seen one dropped, how many of them were dropped just from that particular event?

Gold/Silver swing, destroy, laia ring, lich robe, tarak boots - how many of them were dropped just within 10 days event vs how many dropped 4 months prior to this event?

the list goes on.....

making the game easier will only attract new players for a short period of time and that won't stay long because they will become the veteran after the next event. At the same time, the existing players get discouraged because they felt their efforts and time were not rewarded. if they can get all these within 10days, what's the point of griding everyday for months? How many "new players" are out there still to attract given this is almost a 30yr old game?

mmorpg must have a roadmap planning to make it sustainable, unless the vision was to run the server for just a short period of time.

I'm going to speak clearly, last boss event was a great message and I love it:
-Don't do RMT because it's a waste and you can get the item in any moment when the admin team decide to do an event.

On the other side:
Lineage official server got events always, and people got crazy items in official server: b-kvs, cb, destroy, etc...

Events are naturally designed to Lineage, as players are naturally waiting for events.

On the other side, in the whole week just 1 counter barrier dropped, if this is unbalance, stop the machine that I'm going outcontrol now.

Where is the problem? You got accessory enchants? don't worry everyone is going to consume it belive me, because everyone wants a +10 item. You got too many enchants? Don't worry again everyone will use it for the same reason. You got rare boots? Don't worry you will have other pair to use in case you step a shit in game (sorry I couldn't control the joke)

Anyways, can seem unfair if you have grinded to get an item: aka Kurtz set, and then you have an event where you get relatively easy, but it's true that you have the same chances than everyone to get the item, so it isn't unfair because you had the same chances than everyone to enjoy the event.

So to conclude, to know than in any moment we can get a great drop in an event, it's healthy for the server, help players to don't burnout, help server to prevent overpriced items, help administrators with rmt, and it's a terrible news for RMT traders because their money income gets nullifyed.

So last boss event was a win win.
