New contents are bandage solution. How the server progresses and balances are key to long term growth. Last boss event has done pretty significant damages.

We wouldn’t need to release new content if everything is slowed down. Original lineage is a hard slow burn journey meant for grinder. Not pushing new contents out every 2 weeks and drop everything easily.

New content will just kill old content and eventually burn everyone out, including the GM team. I've asked to slow down on new content creation while focusing on fixing bug (coi heal has no action, call lightning slow cd, stun displacement, class balances, gear balance, etc)

what if one gets a legendary rune that he doesn't need? I think the rune system should have been more simpler.
Legendary rune should have multiple effects depends on the class wearing it if runes are acc bind. ie:
rune of zealot: +5 int for illu and mage, +5 dex for elf, +5 str for de, royal, dk, knight, etc...

I understand and support events designed to help new players catch up with the rest of the server. Giving newcomers a chance to become competitive is important for the long-term health of the game.

However, I believe these types of events can also create difficult circumstances for existing players. This is not just my personal opinion many veteran players may feel the same way. When catch-up systems become too generous, long-time players can feel that their time, effort, and progression are being devalued.

I think it is important to find a balance that helps new players progress while also preserving the sense of achievement and investment of existing players.

All of your feedback is heard and valid. For those of you that play a lot and grind the end game content and bosses it does feel like your time is wasted. That’s never our intention to make you all feel like that.

My main goal is to work with the team to provide a stable server for people to play with events like live had. Live had many large drop events, and they actively balanced those events during them if things were dropping too often.

The goal of the last event was not to devalue what you’ve all been grinding for, and for that I apologize.

All of this work we’re doing is from all of our free time. It sucks to hear that the work we’re putting in and losing sleep over is leading to these feelings.

I’ve put time as well into creating polls to see where everyone is at. The server is pretty split on a lot of those polls. It seems we’re always going to upset someone with what is happening.

To address the rune questions,
A new mechanic usually creates growth when it does one or more of these:

• Creates new goals / progression.
• Gives lower and mid players a path to catch up.
• Creates item sinks (consumption, upgrading, rerolling).
• Creates new trade opportunities.

It hurts an economy when it:

• Invalidates existing rare gear overnight.
• Makes old content worthless.
• Creates too much power too quickly.
• Injects items faster than players can absorb.

The rune system as a whole is a positive thing. I’m curious to hear more about your thoughts on why runes are a bad thing? It may have injected faster than players can absorb but for the most part is a positive thing for the community.

It opens up the market to players who are willing to pay for these items. That doesn’t necessarily mean the economy is being ruined simply because someone doesn’t want to pay the asking price for a rune they really want. Over time, the market will naturally adjust and find balance based on what players are actually willing to pay for different runes.
