Field Notes from an Imperfect Life
Lineage, the classic MMORPG, has long held a special place in my heart. Its graphics may be dated, but its art direction and core gameplay remain richly compelling.
The previous server I played on wasn’t cash-hungry, yet the administrators turned a completely blind eye to botting. Though it had been running for years, the quality of the gaming experience was abysmal. To make matters worse, members of my own bloodpledge were actively encouraging the use of third-party cheats. What’s the point of playing a game under such conditions?
Disillusioned, I decided to walk away—and I doubt I will ever return.
It was through a query to ChatGPT (or perhaps Gemini) for private server recommendations that I stumbled upon this place. Having played here for a few days now, I must say the experience has been delightful. Compared to other servers, the subtle, thoughtful details scattered throughout speak volumes about the developer’s dedication. In a sense, this feels like a true rebirth.
I have a feeling I’m going to love it here.
At the moment, I’m only playing as the Royal class—mostly because I enjoy designing and wearing my own custom emblem. If you were inspired to join after seeing my emblem, simply type "+BP" in front of me.
To be transparent: I don’t understand English. Everything I’m writing here is generated through a translation tool. My English remains frozen at the classic textbook exchange:
"How are you?"
"I'm fine, thanks. And you?"
—the quintessential line straight out of our domestic English curricula.
So if you happen to bump into me in-game, a simple "HI" will do. It’s pretty much the only English word I truly know.
