wouldn't that kill the sales of lv4 scrolls since lv3 scrolls are buyable in ivory tower?

Depends, if a scroll lv3 cost 2k at IT and you use 15 lv3 to get 1 lv 4, it is similar price to 30k from players...

Then players will have the option to swap them or buy from other players....
For classic would be an improvement, and it would not affect Standard.

in ivory tower, a lv3 scroll = 1890

current shop prices for lv4 scroll = 20k (as of me checking right now)

if we stick with their proposed ratio of 5:1, it would cost 9450 to make a lv4 scroll effectively tanking the farming and sale of lv4 scrolls by instantly cutting their price to acquire by over half.

so we go from having an item that players could farm and profit off of @ 20k ea which also works as one adena sink for rich players to pretty much making it an afterthought.

imo lv4/5 scrolls shouldn't be something thats easily acquired on a whim and should stay a resource/item that should be saved, managed, and its consumption specifically planned for (dragons, bosses, pvp etc).

As I suggested, the trade off should match market price... EVEN better instead of 15 lv 3 30k
just 10 lv 3 match your 20k!

But further more... I agree that player market shouldn't be manipulated (Therefore the matching price).
Further into the argument, I am guessing you are talking about Standard. The NPC could be added to (c) only, so Standard wouldn't need to worry about it.

but with that being said, isn't the whole point of classic to mimic classic play, speed, rates?

isn't farming consumables like scrolls part of that? if classic wants to go do a dragon, shouldn't farming lv4/5 scrolls for counter magic etc be part of that classic playstyle or would it be ok now to provide a shortcut to acquiring scrolls and removing the farming aspect?

The point of classic, is don't play an afternoon and be level 70. More than that it could be a point if in classic, we were like 200 players like in standart. But the truth is we are like 20 players, and from that more than the half of the server, real life friends. So, we don't have market, we don't have no one buying thinks we don't have people selling thinks.

Trading them from lv 3 to lv 4 Doesnt change the fact that you NEED to farm a lot to get them. But instead of having them cover in dust on your store, you can actually have OPTION (not only the typical TU scroll)
I understand that in Standard you fart milions and shyt bilions, in Classic, farming adena is also a dedicated thing. If you dont do exploits.
