two things i have noticed.

  1. DK dragon buffs (Antharas, Valakas)

when casting the spell it applies the buff, when the buff icon wears off the spell stays active and when recasting it removes the buff. then recasting again will apply it again. so essentially if you are not aware or paying attention your buff is up 50% of the time when you're keeping it active

At best you're casting it twice to keep it actually working every time it wears off or you're typing -stats constantly to see when it actually applying the buff

  1. Mortal body dmg

mortal body dmg is not including the base +10 AC into its dmg calculation only the -AC you have. example at -80AC mortal body should be doing your total AC which is +10 to -80 (90) / 2 which = 45. currently it does 40

Tested this one.

For the dragon buffs, yeah I can see what you mean there. It looks like when you re-cast, it removes the buff but not the buff icon. Moving to development to see if we can remove that.

For Mortal Body, moving that to development to check code.

Mortal Body
The player’s math is accurate if our intended formula is β€œeffective AC”:

effective AC = 10 - displayed AC

At -80 AC:

10 - (-80) = 90
90 / 2 = 45

But our current PvP code uses only the negative displayed AC:

int mbDamage = (this.getAc() * -1) / 2;

So at -80, it does:

80 / 2 = 40

Thanks mephi ❀️
Just little details that I notice and report to help functionality. I don't play DK just want to help my fellow mage crushers out lol

Hey @Devil, just merging your report into here for Mortal Body as you mentioned you are not seeing the AC /2 with it. I believe the code does a +30 damage as a minimum and then only applies the AC/2 if its greater than 30, but will let @Mephi confirm to be sure.

Just did some quick tests, and yeah it's definitely applying a different formula for PvE. Let us know if you were seeing it in PvE specifically @Devil

β€’ Mortal Body

  - Costs 50 HP.
  - Lasts 300 seconds.
  - When the buffed player takes positive damage, it has a 23% chance to retaliate.
  - It can trigger from both monsters and players.

  PvE
  Against monsters, retaliation starts at:

  30 damage

That damage then receives applicable outgoing PvE modifiers, including equipped rune bonuses and relevant Hard Mode
outgoing-damage modifiers. The monster’s final damage handling may reduce it.

  PvP
Against players, the current formula is:

max(35, absolute value of current AC / 2)

  Examples:

   Your AC Mortal Body damage
  ━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
       -50 35
  ───────── ────────────────────
       -60 35
  ───────── ────────────────────
       -70 35
  ───────── ────────────────────
       -80 40
  ───────── ────────────────────
       -90 45
  ───────── ────────────────────
      -100 50
  ───────── ────────────────────
      -120 60

Odd values use integer rounding down: -81 AC = 40 damage.

There is no separate PvP multiplier in Mortal Body itself. The retaliation enters the target’s normal incoming-damage
processing, so shields, invulnerability, and applicable defensive effects can change the actual HP lost.

I understand now i never knew mortal body worked different in pve and pvp. So when I was seeing like 30dmg in pve from the floating damage numbers I thought it was broken

I thought it was Ac/2 across the board didnt know it was different for pve/pvp

Good to know, never realised a difference from PVE to PVP. On other servers I played monsters didn't like to tell me how much DMG I was hitting them for, they just got angry and hit me back

Gotcha, thanks all! We'll close this one out for now though since we have solved the mystery of the PvE/PvP damage difference. Feel free to re-open if you have any other questions on this.
