it has come to my attention that there are some abuable mechanics currently with erase magic and also some functionality issues with how its supposed to work vs how it is intended to work.
first of all, Erase magic does not dissapear when spells miss meaning that if i cast erase / cancel, cancel misses then erase stays on the character until the spell lands. im not exactly sure how the game determines what a hit is but i can say forsure that if any spell is cast on a player with erase no matter the outcome of the spell the erase should drop immediately after.
SECOND issue and in my opinion a MUCH more concerning issue. I have noticed this a couple of times in battle where enemies are putting an erase on a player and then an illusionist comes to hit said player. the problem being that the player is not actively trying to land a spell with erase but instead allowing the illusionist to hit on extremely reduced MR values causing them to do inflated dmg.
i dont think i need to explain why this is a problem. please investigate and if there's any testing or evidence that needs to be provided im happy to help in any part of the resolution
