Since the start of the game I have been thinking CON stat on items is a totally non-sense.
Items with CON only affects (as I know unless there is something hide in the code) to HPR in the best scenario is 1 hpr×con point.
CON on items doesn't affect to the hp gain per level.
CON doesn't affect to you total hp.
On the other side CON is supposed to apply a hp bonus, like when you put leveled points on CON stat.
So my suggestion is turn CON on items into something with sense and value:
Option 1: CON in items give you the hp/level bonus
This is for me the more logical option. If you have items equipped that change your CON from 15 to 16 and you have a bonus of hp on 16 CON, while you have the item equipped you should have that hp bonus. Once you take out the item, you loose the HP.
This should be like any other bonus, str, int, dex, etc... where items with the stat affects on the stat table.
Option 2: Items with CON gives a HP bonus amount previously stablished
Another solution if Option 1 is not possible is add a total amount of hp bonus to items with CON stat, like +50hp × CON point.
Option 3: Equipped CON affects to the HP per level
This is for me the most complicated, because disable candle options, but can be an option, if you have equipped CON items, and you level while you have on, you have the hp×level bonus that goes with your total CON stat points including CON on items.
Maybe this is the most complicated since in this server hp is a totally amount fixed for each level depending your con stat.
In any case, maybe at the start of the game CON was a very powerful stat, and they decided to put limits on how equipped CON worked. But nowadays it's a nonsense to have a stat extremely limited.
(Maybe if we can do something about the CON on items and total hp, we should review the total wis on items and the total mana points)
