There is a severe client-server desynchronization issue triggered when a Mage repeatedly casts Fog of Sleeping.
When this skill is spammed, the target’s local client shows that the character has broken free, is moving away, and is at a safe distance attempting to heal. However, on the server and on all other players' screens, the character remains completely stationary at the original cast location. This leads to the target taking damage (e.g., melee hits, Baphomet Staff procs) from an invisible or distant attacker without any visual feedback on the victim's client, leading to unavoidable deaths.
Incident 1 (Underwater / Gemma): While hunting underwater, the player Baphomet engaged in PvP and repeatedly spammed Fog of Sleeping. On my screen, my character was moving across the map and out of range; however, my HP dropped rapidly to zero while no attackers appeared nearby.
Incident 2 (Tower of Insolence 89F): The same scenario occurred on 89F against Baphomet. My client showed my character a full screen away healing up, while two of my Blood Pledge members confirmed over voice/chat that my character was frozen in place on their screens taking direct Baphomet Staff hits until death.
Incident 3 (Blood Pledge Members): This exact desync interaction has now occurred to other members of our pledge during encounters with the same player.
Steps to Reproduce
Have a Mage spam Fog of Sleeping repeatedly on a moving or reacting target.
Attempt to move away and pot/heal on the target client once the sleep effect ends or is recast.
Observe that the victim's client registers movement, while the server and observer clients show the victim locked in place taking damage.
Player Log Review: Please review server combat and movement logs for the player Baphomet during fighting encounters. The repeated, deliberate execution of this sequence suggests intentional exploit abuse.
