Spellscrolls not behaving as they should

I've noticed spellscrolls getting used even though im not hitting on a target. This happened with both Cone of Cold scrolls, Turn undead scrolls, and Paralise scrolls.

I don't think this is as intended.

they are getting used if im not hitting a target but also getting used if i hit a target (but then then they don't work)

Was able to replicate, moving over to development.

I think I'm ok with that as they're consumables

The spell scroll is weird though I tried using para scrolls multiple times while beside casting on. Target not moving and my character won't even cast but still using all my scrolls

Normally they consume when your character casts

if someone misclicks i dont think its terrible for a scroll to be used up

Idk for sure but I feel like that’s how scrolls always worked

Yeah I can't fully remember but what I do know for sure is that when you use it you cast it providing your targeting is good

When I spent a bunch of time double casting TU the scrolls quite often wouldn't cast until I clicked the floor or moved my mouse around to show the spell cursor and then tried again.. but I can say 100% during those weird issue the scrolls weren't consuming so I never complained about it acting weird

Fixed for the next server restart: spell scrolls are used up only when the spell is actually cast. If the cast cannot happen, you keep the scroll.

Marking as patched, pending next restart.
