Proposal: (DM) Map & Reagent System
- Executive Summary
This proposal outlines a revamp for under-utilized Death matchs (DM) zones by introducing a "Map + Reagent" entry system. This system aims to create a significant Adena sink for high-level players, revitalize worldwide hunting via rare thematic drops, and provide customizable, high-stakes instanced content.
- Core Mechanics
A. The Components
The system relies on the combination of two distinct item types:
The Map (The "Base"):
Acquisition: Extremely rare drops ($0.0001\%$ chance) from monsters worldwide.
Thematic Logic: Maps are tied to monster types.
Example: Skeletons drop "Undead Maps," Elementals drop "Elemental Maps," etc.
Purpose: Determines the aesthetic of the DM and the primary monster pool for the waves.
The Reagents (The "Catalyst"):
Acquisition: Purchased exclusively from a DM NPC.
Adena Sink Tiers:
Rank 1: 1,000,000 Adena (Low Risk / Standard Loot)
Rank 2: 5,000,000 Adena (Moderate Risk / Enhanced Loot)
Rank 3: 20,000,000+ Adena (High Risk / Rare Drop Table Access)
Purpose: Determines the difficulty scaling, HP/Attack modifiers of the mobs, and the quality of the final boss's loot table.
B. The Transformation Process
Players bring 1 Map + 1 Reagent to the DM NPC. Upon trading, the NPC consumes the items and provides 8 Keys.
Scalability: The 8-key system ensures a full party can enter together while keeping the entry "unit" tied to a single map holder.
