Currently, mages have a negative spell chance when casting debuffs on players. As a result, mages are practically unable to contribute in PvP outside of casting Immune.
For comparison, knights have stuns lasting 5+ seconds, illusionists have Sleep and stuns, dragon knights have Triple Hit and Root, elves have Erase, Cancel, and other debuffs, and dark elves have Armor Break. Mages, on the other hand, have very little impact because their debuffs almost never land.
I understand that players with 150+ MR should naturally have a lower chance of being affected by mage debuffs. That makes sense from a balance perspective. However, having a negative spell chance—or even a chance below 5%—doesn’t seem intended and doesn’t feel like a healthy game mechanic.
Could the GMs please take a look at this as soon as possible? It seems there may be an issue with how spell chance is currently being calculated.
